You know that sensation you feel when you smell something extraordinary, that feeling can never be matched with any of my other senses.

For me the sense of smell is the most important and the most beautiful I must say.

Visiting my favourite city in the world, Paris, I had a long list of things to do there. The one thing I really wanted to witness apart from the Fashion and Hospitality space was Museums and what better place than to start with Le Grand Musée du Parfum.http://www.grandmuseeduparfum.fr/en/

Located in the heart of the city, the 19th century townhouse building at 73 Faubourg Saint-Honoré has always been a monument in and of itself in an elegant, luxurious world, a symbol of french art de vivre and, recently, an important establishment in the world of French fashion.
The mansion at 73 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, sometimes referred to as Moreau-Nélaton, has had a fascinating and tempestuous past : It bears traces of the many modifications and improvements carried out over the centuries by its successive owners, each intent on satisfying various vocations and visions, but which, gratifyingly, have not distorted the structure’s harmonious aesthetics.

Le Grand Musée du Parfum wants to give everyone the satisfaction of comprehending the perfumer’s artistic intentions, learning to truly appreciate a perfume, and expressing his or her own tastes through scent.

The exquisite museum is divided into three sensory parts:
1.  Perfume Stories and Histories

2. Sensory Immersion

3. The Art of the Perfumeur

My personal favourite was the Sensory Immersion. They had a section where there is a blind test - one needs to guess the fragrance and stroll through the Garden of Scents. This allows you to reconnect with your sense of smell via a variety of enlightening assessments.
